MK 1 QR Digital Camera Adapter
Take home prized shots!
The unique quick-release feature of the MK 1™ digital camera adapter provides a hassle-free way to digiscope with a Skyline spotting scope and many point-and-shoot digital cameras. Watch this Digiscoping Made Easy video to see for yourself.
Three steps to using the MK 1 digital camera adapter.
Only when you're ready to digiscope do you need to make the final connection between scope and camera – and that you'll do quickly!
- Attach MK 1 adapter ring (48mm) to the threaded eyepiece collar of the spotting scope and secure the eyepiece in place.
- Slip MK 1 adapter tube over the eyepiece and thread onto the MK 1 adapter ring.
- Secure MK 1 digital camera base to your point-and-shoot digital camera.
If you take these steps at the beginning of the day, you'll be set for digiscoping whenever you need the Skyline's extra magnification to capture that prized shot. In the mean time, however, you can continue viewing directly through your Skyline spotting scope and snap images through your digital camera as usual.
Note: Digital cameras with manual settings work best for digiscoping. If your digital point-and-shoot camera has an aperture priority setting, open the aperture wide open and capture the scene with a shutter speed of 1/125th second or faster for the best results.
