Sport Cantilever 30mm Mount — 3-Inch Offset

Use this cantilever mount for mounting 30 mm telescopic sights onto flattop style AR-15 rifles. The 3-inch offset of this cantilever mount positions the scope in a forward location, allowing the correct eye relief and head placement on an AR-15. Aluminum construction.

Note
The cantilever ring mount positions the center of the riflescope tube at a height of 1.59 inches (40.39 mm) from the base. Weighs 6.7 ounces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two seasons of 3gun and she's still zeroed I got this mount five minutes after I got the Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 Gen 1 that I bought to use on my 3gun rifle. The mount doesn't have any knobs or levers to catch on barrel's or barricade's that my rifle is either thrown into or rested on during a 3gun match. it is also one of the lightest mounts I could find. After two years of beating my rifle, my scope and this mount around in everything that stage designers can come up with, the scope hasn't changed zero at all. I'm certain that there are more expensive mounts, and there are probably cheaper mounts. I'm not sure there is a better mount. The I brake it, they fix it warranty certainly doesn't hurt either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vortex customer for life! I recently purchased the Strike Eagle 1-6×24 scope for my custom AR. My dealer had sold out of the cantilever mount so I contacted Vortex. Let me tell you, the customer service I received was absolutely amazing. Not only was the representative knowledgeable, but very friendly and we both shared quite a few laughs! I really could not believe how personable she was. When my package arrived, I was shocked to see that not only was my mount and switch view lever in there but also a t-shirt, hat and a couple stickers!! I am most definitely a Vortex customer for life!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mount!! I bought this mount for my strike Eagle 1-6 scope and I could not be happier with it. The 2-inch offset is perfect for my AR15, it allows you to place the scope where you want it on the rail and still be able to operate the charging handle with ease. The mount is solid and I have put about 500 rounds through my rifle with the mount attached and I have not noticed any change in zero. I would recommend this mount to anybody with a strike eagle, for the price, you can't beat this. The only thing that I would like to have would be a quick detach, but you would be paying a much higher price for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mount to go with scope Connects my AR to my hog hunter scope! Was easy to mount scope, actually stopped in to the store in Middleton and had you guys put my scope on and torque it correctly! Glad Im close enough to stop in and check out the newest stuff!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit on my AR. I used this mount to put my Viper HS-T 44 on my custom 20" flattop AR build. The mount works perfectly and I could not be more impressed. I did notice the separate rail mounting piece was not perfectly flat. I do not know if it was designed to be that way or not. However I torqued everything to proper specs and there are no gaps and the mount is absolutely solid as can be. I wish that Vortex would state what size the screws where. I am still not positive what size it is but a 3mm did the trick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality, perfect height. I just bought this mount (3/2/2018). I had two individual scope rings on top of two short risers. It was the only thing that I could get to work with my current scope. I am so happy this setup worked with my 6-24x50mm perfectly on my flat top AR-15. Now all I have to do is get a Vortex scope to replace the one that's on it now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock Solid 30mm Mount I am not a fan of cantelever mounts (throw lever mount) so a good screw on rail design is where I like to be. I have specific rifles built for purpose so I do not have to swap them around. Vortex also sponsors several major 3-Gun competitions around the country and I cannot thank them enough for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent mount! I was looking for the perfect mount to fit Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x scopes on an AR and a TAVOR SAR bullpup -- this CM-202 mount turned out ideal for both platforms. For the AR, this mount fits perfect as is. For the TAVOR SAR, I added an extra YHM 1/2in riser for a more comfortable cheek weld.

I'm interested in getting the strike eagle 1-6x24. I have the Springfield saint with fixed front sight. Will this mount give me enough clearance or will I need to get a riser so that I don't have too much front sight interference?

Asked by: Col.Sanders
With this mount the front sight will be visible at low magnifications in the bottom of your scope but will disappear as you turn up the magnification.

What about cerakote in my vortex viper 4-16x44 scope?  I really want it to match my flat dark earth color scheme....

Asked by: Jaha
You are welcome to cerakote your scope and rings, however you will want to mount the scope before applying cerakote and we recommend using the air cure method that does not apply heat.

What would be the best mount for the vortex viper 4-16 x44 ?  Would I want the 2 inch or 3 inch offset? Or another mount model?

Asked by: Jaha
If you are mounting your scope on an AR they would both work, the choice comes down to how close you have your face to the charging handle. If you run tight to the charging handle the 3" offset will work best, if you run back from the charging handle the 2" offset will work fine.

Would a cantilever mount work on my Sauer 100 (.308) on a picatinny rail with Crossfire 1-4x24 on top? I would like to have room for eye relief but Im wondering if the center would be too high in this case. The setup is for close range hunting.

Asked by: Joseff
A cantilever mount is going to be very high for your setup, I would go with a set of 30 mm Pro Rings in low height and they should work very well.
