V-Plex Reticle (MOA)

A popular all-purpose hunting reticle intended for a wide variety of hunting applications.

Subtension detail for the Crossfire 4-12x40 AO with V-Plex Reticle. >

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best scope at this price point I put together a Kidd 10/22 recently and decided this would make for a nice optic for 25 yard bullseye matches. So far, my absolute worst group (using blazer) has been 0.8 MOA. Clarity and light transmission down in the fairly dark range are excellent. Focus is spot on, although, I prefer a side parallax, having AO on a scope in this price point is phenomenal. I have been considering moving this to my 308 to replace my PA scope, but I'll probably look at buying something like a diamondback or a PST for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great optic for the money. This is a great scope. Crystal clear,12x power ,and lifetime unconditional warranty for under 200$ retail...what more can you ask ?. Vortex has the best value dollar to quality ratio and I have had no problems with this scope. I have upgraded to a Viper HST ,but NOT because the Crossfire didn't impress me but now getting 24x power, the uncapped adjustment knobs ,zero stop reticals, and the Parralax is convieniantly located opposite the windage knob rather than the objective lense, but the Crossfire is getting handed down and would have been happy if it was the only one I could have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great First Optic This is the first optic I've purchased. With the urging a good friend, I'm finally getting back into the shooting sports and hunting after a very long break. So with my first rifle and optics purchase I conducted a massive amount of online research. For my budget, nothing beat Vortex and the Crossfire II. Crystal clear scope with the zoom and adjustable objective/parallax that I was looking for. Combined with the VIP warranty, I see no reason to go anywhere other than Vortex.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Entry Level Scope Use the scope on a 7mm-08 rifle for deer and coyote hunting. Glass is clear and reticle is just the right thickness to see with the intended target. Although no testing was performed, the MOA click adjustments seemed pretty accurate during sighting in, and are holding their zero thus far. Only complaint is the eye relief is a little "picky" with eye to scope alignment at 12X power, seems to be okay at lower power levels though. Overall a very nice scope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the vortex scopes I have two I have the vortex crossfire II I put it on a cva 44 mag rifle. I also vortex copperhead I really like the clarity of the scopes and like the lifetime warranty. Recently I had to return the crossfire for service because the reticule was turning the staff was great they fixed it and returned it promptly. Thank you vortex for having great service after the sale. I would recommend these scopes to anyone and it is the one that I put on my guns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Customer Service! This was my first Vortex product. I believe it to be a very quality piece and when I had some issues with grouping, I ended up sending in for warranty claim. Vortex sent me a new one, and reported that the gun shop overtightened the rings and crushed the scope tube. The new scope is shooting very well with new rings on the same gun. I just replaced my range finder and binoculars with Vortex products after this great experience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid scope I put this on my .300 win mag and handles the heavy rounds great. I've had cheaper scopes loose zero after several shots from the recoil. Love this scope and very impressed with the quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Impressed I recently purchased this scope as a gift for my son to mount on his FNAR 7.62X51. I mounted the scope and loaded up some 155gr Hornady HPBT with 47gr of W-748,and headed for the range. The first shot (25 yds. was on the paper, so I made a couple adjustments and took the target out to 100yds. I just had to lower it a bit and we started shooting some groups. I was impressed with the clarity of the scope. My 56yr old eyes had no trouble seeing the bullet holes. The adjustments were crisp and very accurate. The scope has no parallax at 100 yds. and I was able to lay down some groups you could cover with a quarter. I have Many Leupold "High Dollar" scopes . I have used Simmons, Swift, Bushnell, Tasco, Nikon, and BSA,in the past. There is nothing in this price range that even comes close to the features and quality of this Optic. This ain't the last one I'll buy for certain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So great, I ordered another. Don't let the low cost fool you. This scope is crystal clear and the BDC reticle is great to use with Vortex's online ballistics program (LRBC). I originally purchased this for my Ruger American 30-06 and shot a lot of rounds with no issues. I recently swapped it over to my Savage Axis .223 and purchased another Crossfire II (18x) to put on my 30-06. Best line of scopes for the money hands down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top quality and a high quality company Very nice scope it was my first vortex purchase. You can tell the quality in the scope as soon as you see it / hold it. The glass is very clear and the bdc is a very nice add on. I have a lot of respect for the company for the support of our military vets and police. That alone is one reason I will always shop at vortex. Let alone the quality of there products are amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much for so little! I recently purchased the Vortex Crossfire II 4-12 x 40, to top off my Remy 700 in 270. I own two other scopes in the Crossfire line and this is what led me to choose this scope. The quality and features Vortex offers are, I believe, not matched by anyone else even close to Vortex price points. It all started with my first Vortex product and now 5 Vortex optics later, you could absolutely classify me as a proud Vortex fanboy! I love the Vortex BDC reticle it isn’t fussy and annoying, just helpful when you need it. The optics are clear and the adjustments tactile. The included sunshade is a real bonus and was of great value on my recent Pronghorn hunt. Thank you Vortex for giving the average blue collar working man, so much quality for a realistic price!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Blackout beast I have this on my 300 aac blackout with supersonic ammo. The scope has deen a dream to shoot when plinking at all times of the day and evening (low light hours). I am able to evaluate the deer from much farther than I shoot to see if it is something I would want to harvest thanks to the clarity and crispness of the scope. Great optic!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Rimifire Scope For Target Shooting I enjoyed this scope on my Savage FV-SR and Ruger 10/22 .22lr rifles. With AO was great and precise. Click adjustments were crisp. I put this in removable rings and switched zeroes between rifles with no issues. Great scope and would highly recommend to anyone in the future. Great eye relief and holds zero with no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy again and again. Clear, cheap, lifetime warranty! I have this particular scope on my remington 700 30-06. Shot deer out to 300 yards and antelope out to 400. Took it on a snowy cold elk hunt in Nebraska and would look down the scope and never fogged up. Always afraid of breaking my vortex gear but in the back of my head I know with the warranty it will be fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Scope Bought this scope to put on my M1A. Great glass, easy to zero. Mine has the BDC reticle so it is fast and easy to adjust for range. Perfect for long range shots when you need it. Of course the Muley Buck that I shot last year walked out at 80yds. What luck. I plan on putting more Vortex on my rifles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I will definitely buy vortex again! I love this scope. I deffinately didn't know I would be getting so much scope for the value. I know the crossfire II, is the entry line scope, for vortex, but it's the equivalent to other company's higher end products. Super bright and clear, and dead hold bdc, works great!
Date published: 2017-06-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great glass! Mounted on a .300 Blackout I built myself, this is the perfect scope for my setup. The glass is crystal clear and it holds true after multiple firings at different ranges. Works well in low light when the deer blend in with their backgrounds. I'm very happy with this scope!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would recommend this scope to anyone I use mine for varmint hunting during the day and at night. The light is draws in at low light conditions is amazing, the glass is crystal clear, and the detail is unmatched. This was my first vortex scope but I plan to fit all my rifles with this brand A+!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great scope This is a great scope for the price it is very accurate, but my only problem is that it doesn't come with turrets. I know I would be paying a lot more but I can only shoot out to 500 yards. I am thinking of sending it in and getting turrets put on it.
Date published: 2017-06-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent products After 2 rounds of upsets with leupolds I exchanged those for a vortex crossfire and will never look back. After 90+ rounds and not being able to zero a leupold to only 9 rounds to zero wth vortex. Great scopes guys keep up the good work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my Hunting Rifle. I mounted this scope on a Tikka T3 Hunter and all I can say is wow. Took me 4 rounds to Zero at 100 yards. Once in the field I was impressed by the clarity. I took down 2 very nice deer at over 200 yards with no problem.

Is this scope rated for air rifles? Looking for a scope for a Diana 350 mag

Yes, all of our optics will work well on an air rifle. Our Diamondback line is pretty popular with air rifles.

I have a Savage model 11 in 22-250 and was going to be pairing it with a crossfire 2 4x12x40 and was wondering what rings and base would be best.

Asked by: Longranger338
I would recommend going with a 1-piece Picatinny rail from www.egwguns.com and a set of our Pro 1" Rings-Medium for your setup.
