Rated 5 out of 5 by from Topnotch I've owned a lot of different brands of high quality scopes over the years but this is my first vortex. The features like the quality construction, crystal clear glass, excellent focus and eye relief plus good positive clicks on the turrets makes the Vortex Crossfire II scope in my opinion at the top of the pack in its price range and better than some higher priced scopes. A+++++++++++

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More bang for your buc. After being a Leupold owner my entire hunting career I was reluctant to try another scope. I had purchased a new 7mm08 and was talked into trying a vortex by a hunting partner. I'm actually pretty happy with what I got for the money I spent. It's clear and has a outstanding warranty. What's not to love about those two things. Now everyone in our group is shooting vortex scopes. W

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greta Scope at a Great Price I was getting into hunting to see if I enjoyed it, so I didn't want to spend too much on a gun or optic for my first deer rifle. People really tried pushing the Nikons or Leupolds on me, but I decided to take a chance with the Vortex Crossfire II and was more than pleased. I have now put a little more than 250 rounds of .308 through this scope (and 4 hunts) and have consistently shot sub-MOA groups and can observe my own groups from 100 yards and max zoom. As for glass clarity, I found it better than other scopes priced around 0 (this scope at a fraction of that price). The BDC reticle is accurate for calculating drop (that I've tested) at 300 and 400m. If you're looking to make consistent 300m shots with a bolt rifle, this is the scope for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would buy again! When I came across this scope I was looking for something that I could use for my AR style rifle for load development. I did't want to spend a lot of money on a scope that would spend most of its life in the gun safe. comparing this scope to others in the price range, this scope was the best hands down. Since buying 3 years ago I have used it on multiple guns (223 AR up to 300 Win Mag) to develop loads for my self and friends/family. It has worked flawlessly through the different recoils of the guns I have used it on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value glass This scope is mounted on my Savage model 11 in .204 Ruger as my beater varmint rifle. It's light, inexpensive ( not cheap), has plenty of zoom , clearer glass that several other brand scopes in the same price range. Clicks are not as distinct as I prefer but that's splitting hairs. Always returns to zero, has taken a beating in the back of the jeep between fields and never lost zero. All in all fantastic scope the price. This was the product that sold me on my other Vortex scopes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Followup review I first wrote a review on this scope back in Nov 2014. Here we are closing in on the 2016 deer hunting season and I will be out again with my (now) favorite hunting rifle topped with the Crossfire II. Last hunting season my rig took some serious abuse out in the woods and on the trails. Strapped to the rack on an ATV or bouncing around in the bed of a Gator this scope has held up and HELD! I take great care with all my firearms but I built my hunting rifle to be battle-ready. It's been dragged through the woods several times and each time I check zero out on the range I only need to take 2 shots to confirm - the second one because I didn't believe the first. The optics are still clear despite going through some crazy weather here in Upstate NY. Last hunting season saw rain/fog/sleet/near zero squalls and not a single problem with this scope. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional clarity, incredible value I mounted my Crossfire II 4x16x50 AO on a Tikka T3 super Lite 300 Win Mag. I used a one piece ring/base high mount. The optics clarity is worth a lot more than I paid for it! The focus is very fast and the precision turrets were completely reliable for their 1/4 MOA adjustments. If I could hold that rifle still, you could use a micrometer to verify each 1/4 between shots. This is now going to be my go to scope brand, period!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No More Scope Circles Around My Eyes!! I had a lesser quality scope on my .300 Win Mag and the last few times I shot it, it was getting more and more difficult to clearly see through the glass. Finally while sighting in for deer season, the poor clarity caused me to get a little too close to the scope and ..... BOOM! Scoped! That evening I ordered my Crossfire II and there will be no more scope rings around my eyes! Great product for the money!

I originally posted my question under the Crossfire II. I changed my mind and I purchased the Viper HS 4-16X-50 to put on my Browning 6.5 Creedmoor. I would like your suggestions for ring mount setup please?

Asked by: Agreen
I would go with a 1 pieced picatinny rail from www.egwguns.com and a set of our 30 mm Precision Matched Rings in 0.87" height or our low height Pro Rings.

I'm planning on purchasing the Crossfire II 4-12x50 AO to place on a Browning 6.5 Creedmoor. Which mount setup should I purchase? I know Browning offers a "X-Lock" mount setup but I would like to use your ring setup.

I am purchasing a 4-16 x 50 AO for a Browning A-Bolt 7mm Mag what do you recommend for rings? I believe the current rings and base are old Redfields, so I only need the rings.

Asked by: buckfnatic
I recommend a set of our 30 mm Pro Rings in high height for your setup.

I am going to mount the Crossfire II 4-16x50 AO on am AR-15 with a flat top rail. What scope mount would work best? High 30mm Hunter Rings?

Asked by: JoePa31
On an AR 15 you will want to use a cantilever mount to get proper mounting height and placement on your rifle.

Is there iluminated reticle option for this model?

Asked by: Rodo
The Crossfire II 4-16x50 AO is not available with an illuminated reticle, we do have some other Crossfire II models that have our V Brite reticle which is illuminated.

I have a 30.06 165 grain zeroed at 100. Should the bdc work for its as 100,200,300,and 400

Asked by: Brucedawg
The reticle will most likely not line up at exact 100 yard increments, I recommend using our LRBC program to find what yardages the hashmarks line up for your setup: http://www.vortexoptics.com/content/lrbc.
