Diamondback® 2-7x35 Riflescope

The Diamondback® — loaded with features! First, the solid one-piece aircraft-grade aluminum alloy construction makes the Diamondback® riflescope virtually indestructible and highly resistant to magnum recoil. Argon purging puts waterproof and fogproof performance on the agenda, and advanced fully multi-coated optics raise an eyebrow when crystal clear, tack-sharp images appear in the crosshairs. Look for all this and more in a riflescope you'd expect to cost quite a bit more-but doesn't. We can live with that.

  • 2-7x35 Diamondback® is designed for close to medium range use on centerfire rifles and shotguns.
  • V-Plex reticle is the single best all-purpose hunting reticle intended for a wide variety of hunting applications.
  • Parallax is set at 100 yards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellence at an affordable price! Easy to sight in, and easy to get target in view. As good as it gets, as far as clarity, and easy setting up. Sighted in, and, fired 500, 5.56 rounds, on multiple days, and, conditions, with no change in accuracy. Very pleased with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great scope for .22LR units!! I put one of these scopes on my Ruger 10/22 a little more than 2 years ago. As this was my 2nd Vortex scope, I again looked it over well when I arrived. The Fit and Finish are 2nd to none! And the adjustment knobs move smoothly, and easy enough, but not loosely. I could easily feel the "clicks" through the entire range, lining up with the graduations on the knobs and body. I was able to put it onto a Picatinny rail. As with all my rifles, got it mounted up after aligning and truing the rings. Set initial alignment to bore with alignment laser in barrel, and took only about 4-5 shots to get it locked on at 50 yards! Shot after shot nearly put into the same hole!! Used this for rabbit hunting through the Winter. Having the 2-7 range is just the ticket! Like all Vortex scopes, the glass is super-clear. And with the Objective being 35mm, it's incredibly easy to find the target – fast – at ALL powers! This will be with me for a LONG TIME! Excellent operations, ease of use, "bullet-proof" warranty – what's not to love? Vortex scopes for life!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance at a great price I spent nearly a month researching what scope I wanted for my first AR-15 build, I wanted something that could easily reach out to 200+ yards in an "SPR" style rifle, while keeping weight and size down. I ended up going with the Diamondback 2-7. Wanting to keep the price low, and the magnification near the low end for doing close-up shots, I think I struck a perfect balance of performance and cost. At 2x, the field of view is HUGE on this scope, it is excellent for 50 yards or less quick snap-shots and the target is quickly acquired. Cranked up to 7x, so far I have stretched this out to 160 yards and with my cheap plinking 223 ammo in a 16" barrel, I am getting about 5 inch groups out at that distance, more than acceptable for the cheap budget barrel I have paired with this. Honestly, this scope is more accurate than myself or my rifle will ever be. I can see this as a good entry-level 3-gun optic as well. Honestly, you can still get a fast sight picture even at 3x magnification for close-up shots and CQB work with enough practice. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent scope I have 2 of these scopes and they are great. They gather light amazingly well and make low light hunting much easier. I've had no need to use their customer support as the scopes just do what they are supposed to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around I purchased this scope for my slug gun and I am glad I did. Clarity is great. It can take the shock from the slug gun and still holds true. I have hunted in the rain and snow without any issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ML scope great little scope for my muzzle loader, sharp light, no problems so far, taken to nice deer with it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Diamondback for 20 ga. Shotgun I purchased this scope (2-7 power) to mount on a H&R Ultra Slug gun for deer hunting. Around the same time, I also purchased a Nikon 3-9 power and a Redfield 3-9 power to mount on rifles. Of the three scopes, the Vortex had the best fit and finish, and clarity. The reticle was nice, thin, and crisp. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five stars is the resettable turrets. The Nikon beat Vortex out because their turrets were easier to reset. The turrets on the Diamondback require a coin (dime) to loosen up before resetting. The screw is tight from the factory, not necessarily a bad thing, until you screw up your zero trying to reset them the first time. I mentioned that it is a coin slot as it is dished. A dime fits perfect, but I would rather have a flat bottomed slot so a properly fitted screw drive could be used. Using a screw drive with the dished slot can be done, but there is a chance of the tip slipping out and marring the surface of the turret. Still a great scope and I will purchase again. Actully I already did. Got a Diamondback 3-9 power for my son's 30-06. I zeroed it in Kentucky and traveled with it out to Idaho for an Elk hunt. We transported 4 rifles and that one was the only one that had a first shot bullseye on the first shot at Elk camp. Again great scopes, I do plan to move up to the Razor series for my next rifle.

Would you recommend this scope for a Knight Wolverine with a 209 conversion. I am not concerned about the recoil as the heat from the 209 primer firing directly under the scope. Since there is no check stock on the gun am thinking low to Med rings

Asked by: Mossy Horns
This scope would work well on your muzzle loader, I would go with the medium height rings for your setup.

Will this hold up to the recoil of the Marlin 1895 45-70?

Asked by: Alan49
Yes, it will handle the recoil of your 45-70 as long as it is mounted in good quality rings to our torque specs of 15-18 inch pounds and no Loctite.

Hello,  2-7x35 v-plex, cope I own. Is it also recommended to turn the scope 90 degrees, so the hrizontal turret is an my left side so the lever operation on my ruger 10/22 is better to handle.  I know the numbers on the cope will turn too. Thank you

Asked by: Wolf
No, I do not recommend turning the scope 90 degrees. You should have no trouble operating your 10/22 with the turret being on the right side of the scope.

What is the difference between the Diamondback 2-7x35 and the rimfire version? I'm considering one for my 10/22, but wondering if I should go with the standard version, so I can mount it on other caliber rifles.
Asked by: Brent
The rimfire version is set to be parallax free at 50 yards, where the standard version is parallax free at 100 yards.

Will the 2 - 7 x 32 diamond back hold up with a "springer" air gun double recoil. Thanks
Asked by: Merrill
All of our scopes will hold up to the recoil of a springer air gun. If you were to have issues, our VIP Warranty would take care of you.
