Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved these Binos so much we bought a second pair! My husband bought a pair of Diamondback 10x42 Binoculars upon referral from a friend. He has used them primarily for Hunting. He is very happy with the quality, clarity, and warranty (though he hasn't needed the warranty yet). We are both so impressed with these binoculars, that we recently purchased a second pair of Diamondback 10x42's so that we could each have our own pair. I will be using my Diamondbacks for Archery Tournaments and Hunting. I am very thankful to Vortex for producing a reliable product, and for their support of Competitive Archery. My husband and I highly recommend these excellent binoculars!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome, cheap, clear. We'd all like a pair of 00.00 binos for glassing that trophy elk, but lets face it...We all can't afford those, and some of us (namely me), have yet to glass a trophy. haha. But for a reliable, clear, well made set of binoculars Ive had great luck with the vortex diamondbacks. Ive had the old model in 10x42 and 8x42, and liked the new design enough to get the 10x42 in them and I gave the old pairs to my hunting buddies as gifts. They look better, fit my bino harness better, and feel more well made. And when you find them on sale, you can really get a good deal! Plus, if/when they get lost or stolen, you won't be out a grand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing 'Nocs!!!! After having used budget priced binoculars for years and struggling to spot bucks (compared to my friends) I decided to step up and buy some higher end optics. After talking to many friends that hunt a lot and telling them I couldn't afford ,000 for binoculars almost every one of them recommended Vortex. After reading reviews and comparing different brands in the store I bought a pair of 10x42 Diamondbacks. Thrilled with the quality, light gathering, crystal clear vision and price! What a difference over anything I've ever owned and at least equal to any much more expensive optics I've ever looked through. I don't think anyone can match the quality for under 0!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are a home run value I bought the New Diamondback 10x42 for my wife rather than giving her my hand-me-down bushnells. I have a couple of diamondback and crossfire scopes but never had any diamondback binoculars. I was thoroughly impressed when these showed up. They shipped in an awesome semi-hard zippered case that was a huge value added for the price point. Nice lens caps, neck strap, etc. The glass quality is awesome as well. These are really the best value option I have seen in binoculars and they have Vortex's VIP Warranty to boot! Hard to beat. I would definitely buy these again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Other than just aesthetics The diamondback update was much needed as the old model were much too bulky. The issues I have with the new diamondbacks is that the eyed ups are now squared off instead of rounded like the old models the eye relief is also off if you twist out the eye relief cups like almost all people do you get a periscope effect the way to solve this is to actually set the eye relief cups half way instead of all the way out not a huge disadvantage but more of a minor inconvenience now for the pros and they are minor as well the edge clarity is overwhelmingly better but most people will not notice and the ergonomics of the new diamondback by getting rid of all of the extra rubber makes them way more comfortable to hold over all a really good buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny. I absolutely love these binoculars. The visibility is very crisp, sharp, and clear. I was using these while my dad was using his Leupold spotting scope. I spotted game across a ravine at about 700 yards, while his scope was too dialed in to see large field of view. His scope was stronger, but my binos covered a bigger field of view, and I was able to spot the game clearly at a long range. And of course, there's no way to beat the unconditional, unlimited warranty. Can't go wrong with Vortex anything, especially these diamondbacks. Well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy and give recommendations for this product again If there was more stars then 5 I would give it a lot more. These binoculars are amazing my brother bought a gun scope and binoculars from you guys and kept telling me how good they are so I had to see for my self. My wife got them for me as a gift on my birthday. I have never had a nice pair always cheapos. When I went elk hunting these things were astonishing I could not believe how well they worked how well they drew light in through the lenses and the distance of the projector they are fairly lightweight pair and I could not believe the overall quality of the product so for Christmas I had to buy a scope. Next is your guys range finder. I love the product keep up the awesome work I have nothing bad to say you guys nailed it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Clarity I got these binoculars just a few month ago, and just in time for a Safari. I knew I would be around many animals and probably wouldn't be able to drive up close to everything my group saw. Having my Vortex Diamondbacks with me, I was able to get much clearer views of the animals we saw, and even if the animals were close I was still able to stare at all the beautiful colors in what seemed similar to a microscope. The clarity of these binoculars blew my mind, and I am very grateful to have had them with me. Very strong design, and easy to use.

Where are these binos manufactured?
Asked by: craig
just purchased a pair 12-29-2016 under barcode on box made in CHINA
Answered by: chuck buster
Date published: 2017-06-15

Do these come with a case? If not, what case would I buy? Thanks!
Asked by: M.Scott
This does come with a deluxe custom molded carry case. I would recommend upgrading to our GlassPak Binocular Harness as it's a great match for those binos!

Are the new diamondback's fitted with BaK-4 glass?
Asked by: Mike
Yes, they have BaK-4 glass.
Answered by: Mike at Vortex Optics
Date published: 2017-06-15

Is this only compatible with the uni-dapter or can I use the standard screw in one? Also where does it screw into if it can be used with the standard? I'm guessing I'd remove the knurl knob at the end of the hindge?
Asked by: Brandon
You can use either tripod adaptor. You are correct, they both screw into the front of the hinge.
Answered by: Jon from Sales
Date published: 2017-09-05

What are the differences in the new 10x42 vs the old 10x42. I see the hinge is smaller but are there other differences? I want the toughest binoculars I can get, would I be better served by the old model with the bigger hinge?
Asked by: Dan
Other than the hinge we've upgraded the optical system and also moved from a polycarbonate chassis to a magnesium chassis. In my opinion the New Diamondback is the way to go!

I have recently bought the New Diamondback 10x42 and I absolutely love them! I am curious, your website specs mention Argon purged but the box says Nitrogen purged? I am sure you use the best solution here but I am an info junkie and would like to know for when I discuss with friends. Much thanks
Asked by: Alan
They are Argon gas purged. Unfortunately, there was a mix up on the printing with the boxes since it is a new product. The specs on our website are the correct ones!
