Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you're looking for a great pair of binos, these are them! When looking for my very first pair of binoculars everyone told me to buy the best glass that I could afford. These diamondbacks are cheap in price compared to other binoculars vortex offers but honestly I don't see how you could improve them. They are sturdy, feel great in the hands and most importantly are crystal clear. I used them in low light situations and I had no problems. I use them to glass big open country and saw my deer a little under a mile away with about 45 minutes of light left. I was able to close the distance and able to kill my first buck. Needless to say I will be a vortex customer for life. I 10/10 recommend these binoculars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New version is TRULY an improvement I had just bought the Diamondback 10/42 just a couple weeks ago.. I then learned that Vortex had just come out with the new version.... so I decided to take a look at them when they came out.. First off: there is a noticeable difference, and in my opinion, worth a couple extra bucks to make sure that you get the new version. I opted to also switch from a 10/42 to a 10/50 as well, since I really like the light and range of field on the larger lens. Vortex, thanks for making such a great product, and offering such a great warranty. The only thing that could make it better, would be if it were made in the USA.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice View Just recently bought these binoculars for scanning hunting areas for coyotes. These are way better than any other binocular that I had in the past. My buddy who looked through these the other day even said they were really clear and that was near the end of the day when it was getting dark out. I used these a couple weeks ago for a coyote competition and with decent moon light I could see out to 500 yards at night with these. These make it much easier to scan around instead of lifting up your rifle and using your scope to do so. As always I recommend this vortex product if you are looking for a great product at a great price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE ALL VORTEX PRODUCTS I had an old pair of bushnell bunks going into my late season archey hunt during thanksgiving and I couldn't see any details about the deer I saw let alone if they were bucks or not. So I decided I needed some high quality binos and I looked no further then Vortex. I received them just in time for the second part of my hunt and they worked flawlessly. I used my Vortex spotting scope to find the deer then used the binos as I got closer to see how many and the size of the deer I was looking at. With the help of these new Diamondbacks I was able to see the 4x5 I wanted and make a stalk. Without the help of them I wouldn't have been able to find the deer I wanted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These binos made me a vortex fan for life! I use my Diamondbacks for all things outdoors! I take them with me when I go hiking in national parks, they join me in the boat when I'm on the water and also ice fishing up here in Wisconsin! They are my go to hunting binos as they have a crystal clear picture and very sharp focus which allows me to distinguish deer antlers even in thick brush. I have dropped them from my backpack into a stream in Colorado, 25 feet out of my deer stand and lost them in the snow while coyote hunting and have never had a problem with the Diamondback's sight picture. I would be willing pay over what Vortex sells these for, but that is the beauty of Vortex, amazing product at an honest price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent clarity at a great price point This is my go to everyday pair of binos for everything from spotting at the range to hunting in all terrain. The clarity is remarkable for any bino under 0. The only issue I've run into is a little bit of fogging if I'm hiking around quite a bit and working hard. It's hard to knock the tool too hard there as I tend to sweat a fair amount and given all I've put these through I think they've performed remarkably well. If you are spending all day behind glass I'd recommend buying something nicer that will be clearer out to extreme ranges. For general purpose glassing of a few minutes or an hour at a time, however, these are a great tool. Both photos added were taken through the binos on my cell phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Amazing Glass for the Money!! Slam dunk purchase. Think no more. Top of the line glass for the price. I’ve glassed for hours with these and my woes feel fine. Super clear. Let’s in tons of light. I was able to use it at night under a full moon in the forest. Truly impressive. Rock solid construction. I’ve taken a tumble with it and it was fine. My kid knocked it off my Tripod at about 5 ft high onto brick floors and nothing inside shifted. As good as it was on day one. Made me a vortex guy. Would love to eventually try them on all my rifles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vortex Saves The Hunt. So I'm headed on my first elk hunt. Everything is checked and double checked. I know my German binos are in the closet and in won't forget them. Between Albuquerque and Las Cruces I remember my binos in the closet. So I remember Switching Camo is supplied by Vortex so I call the boss. He says I need a paper from Vortex to get the discount. Shoot. So I look locally for a vortex dealer and come up with a bird watching store. So I bought my Diamondbacks and they were superb during my hunt. Thank You Vortex.

Is there two models of the diamondback 10x50? If yes, is one a roof prism and one not a roof prism. If so, which is better for clarity and low light viewing?

Asked by: Jim H
The Diamondback Classic is our old model, the Diamondbacks have replaced them. We updated the exterior and the coatings but the optics did not change.

Is the lense protector designed to be split on the left side, where the strap goes through?
Asked by: Dale
Yes, the rainguard for the eyecups is made with that split so when you take it off it is not in the way of looking through the binoculars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great optics, very much recommend. These were my first Vortex optics. The guy are the desk at Bass Pro recommended them for the value and clarity. I liked them so much I have started looking at Vortex first whenever I need new optics. They are bright and clear, I have spent many days looking through them in all kinds of weather without worry about them fogging up.on a hunting trip, I'm not kind to them either. Often I leave them on the tripod when I throw them in the back of the truck, and after a few trips they still even look great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These binocs Lewis me away, I would definitely buy again! I use these binoculars for hunting, hiking, camping, you name it. I have been in downpour rain with them, cold heavy snow, all the way to over 95+ degree days and they have proven to work as good at each. The 10x50 Diamondback binocs really shine in their low light capturing too. Having a 10x magnification compared to 8x for me is a great thing as well. The only complaint I have about the 10x50 is the weight. You will get over that quick though when you see how powerful these binocs are.
