Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great versatile binos! The Diamondback series is a budget-friendly series from Vortex which will often have a negative connotation when compared to more expensive competitors (anything at a great price usually does). That assumption is wrong! These binos are a great, versatile pair that work great for hunting in the back country. The 12x magnification allows you to glass hillsides far away but don't excessively bounce from a bino harness or strap around the shoulders. From a tripod, they have the power and the wide objective lens to scan large areas but still be able to count and size the tines on that trophy buck. I was pleasantly surprised by their quality, clarity, and brightness from an economical line of Vortex optics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great optics and bang for the buck. I did quite a bit of research before buying these and discovered that these were the perfect binoculars for medium to long range glassing. They combine the superior light-gathering capabilities of a 50mm lens with 12X magnification. I just finished birding with them for 8 hours in the overcast/rainy conditions of the Pacific NW and I am extremely pleased with my purchase. One nice touch is the extending eyepiece cups that click into place. I can get my eyes far enough away from the lens to keep them from external fogging in cold & wet conditions. Well done Vortex!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Binocular These binoculars are amazing! Not even for the price! The only thing (and I'm being nitpicky here) that would be better is if they were a little lighter, but my experience with binoculars is minimal so I don't have a load of ,000+ optics lying around at my house. However, if you're looking for a pair that you can bang around the mountains or woods in and they work phenomenally, then these binoculars just might be what you're looking for. Excellent glass, excellent performance, excellent warranty...you cannot go wrong with Vortex!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sharp I received these Diamondbacks before the start of spring turkey season. I have since carried them everyday for glassing the open fields and edges along with glassing through the open hardwoods to locate any birds I had yet to see. I have to say these binoculars are very sharp and very clear. The ability to have a good piece of glass to look through is very vital to ensuring you can have a successful hunt. The price of the Diamondbacks sits very well for the average hard working individual who needs a great pair of Binoculars but doesn't want to break the bank !!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Diamondback put the D in DETAILS! I purchased a set of Diamondback 12x50's for a trip to Eastern Montana this past fall. I had a good pair of 8x42's but wanted to see if the additional power was worth it. I can say YES it was! I was able to clearly observe and judge a number of bucks using these binoculars that I wouldn't have been able to with the 8x42 binoculars. The Diamondbacks were crystal clear and allowed me to judge the buck pictured and eventually harvest! Thanks Vortex.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MASTERCRAFTED WITH SPORTSMEN IN MIND I use this product EVERY day of the week. My job allows me to carry binoculars and look at animals while I'm in the field. I've never found a product that is quite as rugged as vortex. I've dropped these, I've bounced them all over the cab, and never had an issue one with clarity or focus. I will NEVER buy another product but vortex and, i have already purchased a spotting scope and plan to use their riflescopes only on my rifles. Thanks Vortex for keeping the hunter I'm mind!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again and again I use this product for hunting and love them. I love everything about the new diamondbacks. I tried out different brands but the vortex was the best fit for me. It has clear glass, love the grips on them. I just love everything about them. I love the way the way feel and fit in my hands. I have nothing bad to say about them. I would highly recommend them. Want a great pair of binoculars go for the vortex.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the wait and weight! Need to replace a pair of binos I left with my PH last year. Decided to wait for the new model diamond backs to come out even though cutting it close to my return again to South Africa. Opted for the 12x50's as the size and weight difference was minimal to the other options and with the optional tripod mount, they will serve well out west later this fall! I was very please with the quality and fit, and especially the adjustable eye caps, as they have a large relief adjustment which works great for me as I will at times have my glasses on but when time permits I find it more comfortable to extend them, spin the diopter ring slightly and go up close without my glasses. And there are 2 distinct stop points on the rotation too, with the intermediate setting being good when I have on my non-presciption sun glasses. And luckily on the 29th of a 30 day trip, I dropped them getting out of the truck! They landed on the one I piece at just the right way to mess up the one eye cap adjuster. They still functioned fine I just couldn't fully extend the one eye piece. I called in and as we were short on time before heading west, they offered to send me the part or send them in for repair and tune up. I opted for the shipping and replacement, which they even expedited and included a pre-paid return label! So I had them in time to head to Canada and they are performing perfectly at this very moment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Questionable to ecstatic... At first I wasn't sure I could get the quality I heard these binoculars provided for the price. Optics usually are a "you get what you pay for" item. Boy was this statement wrong in this case! I've never owned a set of binoculars that had the clarity, eye relief, and general ease of use that I have with these. If ever they should leave me, believe me when I say that I won't even consider a different brand. Thanks Vortex!
