Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I am admittedly a research geek and thoroughly review a product before buying. I listened to several hunting podcasts where regular people were asked to talk about their level of satisfaction with a product and everyone was extremely pleased with their Vortex products. I went to Cabela's and looked at several brands and their features, and walked out with Vortex. As a midwestern deer hunter, I need something that is clear, crisp, won't fog and lets in a lot of light at dawn and dusk. The multi coated optics on the Vortex Diamondback are more than adequate for the hill country of SW Wisconsin. I could've opted for higher end models but the difference was negligible and Vortex's warranty beats them all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BANG for your buck! I bought these 8x42 diamondback binos just before turkey season in North Carolina this year. I had a pair of Alpin 10x42 that I've had for 15 years that finally gave up the ghost. I want something comparable for the money. I went into Cabelas to shop and didn't realize Vortex had binoculars as well as rifle scopes. Having just purchased their rifle scope and being more that satisfied with it I'd checked out their binos. Having many manufactures to choose from I actually compared them to a much more expensive brand in the same focal range....Leopold. Hands down the Vortex had better clarity and smooth adjustments. Just under 0 I bought them. I let my big spending buddies check them out and they agreed on how clear they were. You could clearly make out a Tom from a Jake at more than 4000 feet away. You can't go wrong with VORTEX and their awesome warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Vortex Fan Just returned from an Alaska adventure. I couldn't ask for anything better!!! Optics clarity and low light viewing are just plain amazing for the price. A few folks with far more expensive glass looked through them and were also very impressed. 8x42 were perfect for whale, seal, eagle and glacier viewing. Also very happy the lens caps don't fall off. A huge problem with many other brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clear and shine Have had this binoculars since November and used it a lot of times on hunting. my friend has a Swarovski EL42 and must I be honest, I do not see much difference in clarity. I think my friend is a little disappointed to have paid 10x as much for a binoculars with no visible difference. I will give my warmest recommendations for all of these binoculars at a great price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Birthday gift ever! I gotta be honest. I don't have them yet but today is my birthday and I surely would love to get a pair for my birthday. A man could only wish. But with that said if they are as good as all my Diamondback HP scopes that I have on "all" my rifles that I could only believe they are awesome as well! Thanks for all the great products that you have. Mike Armstrong

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional quality for a great price I'll be honest my wife got me these for Christmas last year and I excited but thought the 8x42 were not going to be powerful enough for my needs as I owned a different brand of higher power. I was wrong. These even in lower power were much more powerful, higher quality, and amazing in low light conditions. You can't go wrong with any Vortex products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I have used it for hunting & scouting. Very clear when looking through it at all ranges. I've used it out to 500-600 yards. Used it bow hunting and gun hunting. These are the best binoculars I've ever used. The warranty is unmatched. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top quality with out the price tag I use my binos in thick bush and open hilly country for deer and these prove them selves everytime i take them out. Their light body makes carying ezy they are extreamly tough and no big price tag plus extreamly clear optics. Way better than my scope so time for a vortex scope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clear and Steady I struggled choosing between the 8x42 and 10x42, the later has worked the best for me and is less fautiging with hours of trying to spot game, for Colorado hunts they are great. The new design is very user friendly and the weight wont be a hinderence in climbing ridges.
