Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing Mount This mount is by far the best I have found for the AR platform. Same platform as the precision matched rings for your bolt gun. When I got my Gen 1 razor for my .260 Rem I moved the XTRii over to the 6.5 Grendel. This mount is everything id hoped for and more. It looks Awesome too! Thanks vortex for making, in my opinion, one of the best mounts out there for the AR platform rifle. Awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Cantilever Mount Made I have this precision mount on my DPMS LR-308 and I love it. It's a very well machined one piece mount that looks awesome on the gun with all of the Vortex logos machined on the top. This mount will last a lifetime on any firearm.

If I use this mount will there be enough clearance between my Viper PST 6x24x50 gen 1 scope and the picatinny rail on top of my AR 15's hand-guard?

Asked by: Bic25
Yes, this mount would work great on your setup.

I have the vortex 6-24x50 hs lr. What would be the ideal mount on my ruger precision 6.5 creedmoor?

Asked by: sm72
Any of our cantilever mounts would get you to proper mounting height or our 30 mm 1.45" Precision Matched Rings would work.

I just bought a Viper Gen II 5 x 25 scope for mounting on my custom made AR10 frame. It has an Aero Precision upper and lower with a Ballistic Advantage heavy precision barrel, 6.5 Creedmoor. Which mount for the picatinny top rail?

Asked by: Alex
I would go with our 30 mm Precision Extended Cantilever with 20 MOA for your setup.

Bought a Viper PST Gen II to mount on my Ruger Precision Rifle in .308. Would this cantilever mount work with this set up of scope and rifle?

Asked by: DarJo242
The Precision Extended Cantilever would work very well, but I would not use the 20 MOA version because your rifle already has 20 MOA built in.

What are the torque specs for the 35mm mount?

Asked by: MooseLoad
We recommend 45-50 inch pounds on the base screws and 15-18 inch pounds on the ring screws, and no loctite on any of those.

Is it necessary to lap the rings using your precision extended mount (cm-535) with the razor hd 5x20x50 (RZR 52005) on a ruger precision rifle in 6.5 creedmoor

Asked by: rca1968
Lapping our Precision Mounts is not recommended as they are good to go out of the box.

I want to mount a Razor HD 5-20x Gen 1 on a Tikka T3x TAC A1, but I am unsure whether to go with a 35mm cantilever mount or rings to make sure that I have clearance, but not a huge gap.

Asked by: 93GT
For the Razor HD, you will want our Precision Extended Cantilever Mount to get proper mounting height.
