Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelieveable! I have this mount on a custom AR with a Viper PST 4-16x50 FFP scope. Unbelievable how well this setup works for tactical use or varmints... which are sometimes one in the same. Repeatability is perfect and the scope is off and back on quickly and securely when needed for maintenance or to use open sights. These mounts are a bargain and they're rock solid. Just ordered another one for a different gun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock solid mount! I used this mount to attach a Vortex Viper PST 6-24X50 FFP to a Ruger Precision Rifle. Probably didnt need a QR mount for this, however, it is super easy to install and it holds tight to the base. What i like about this mount is that there is no need for lapping the rings. This mount is rock solid and the QR is super easy to adjust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thanks Again VTX! I paired this QR Mount with the Eagle 1-8X on my Scionics Patrol2 and Function/Fit is perfect. Plenty of adjustment for eye relief. The intent of the QR for me was to go lighter if I needed to or quickly swap to Red Dot and it fits the need perfect. Scope-Ring alignment was never easier and Certainly no Lapping Rqrd. Also recently upgraded from the Eagle 1-6x to the Eagle 1-8x. That extra little bit makes a big difference with my eyes approaching 48 years old, I also dig the new BDC2 reticle. Previously I had a 3" Extended NON QR 30mm mount (not a Vortex) with my Eagle 1-6x, I found this pushed the scope forward a little too much, as I like running my 45 Deg. iron site behind the mount. This 2" Extended mount seems to fit Perfecto! Thanks again for an excellent product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AR 10 Put these mounts on my AR10 6.5 creedmoor with a 5 x 25 x 50 gen 2 scope and really like the ease of removal to clean the gun, little pricey but still would recommend.

Just purchased the Ruger precision 338 Lapua. Is this cantilever mount the proper scope mount, or do I need to stick with the match grade rings?

Asked by: Juju
You can use that mount if you'd like the quick release as an option otherwise you can use the Precision Extended Cantilever mount - http://vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-precision-extended-cantilever-mount-30mm-riflescope You can also use our Precision Matched Rings, it depends on what optic you plan on mounting and your specific use. If you'd like, please call us at 800-426-0048 Ext. 5 to discuss these options, thanks!

I am looking to put a viper hs-t 6-24x50 on a savage 10ba stealth. Would this be the best mount for that set up or should I go another route?

Asked by: Jesse14
Thanks for the question! This mount will put you up a little too high to look through comfortably. I would recommend going with a set of our 30 mm Precision Matched Rings 0.97" inch height for your setup.

I’m getting a Tikka T3x CTR 308 and a Viper PST Gen 2 3-15x44. Will the precision QR extended cantilever mount 30mm work/have enough clearance? Also will it work for the proper eye level?

Asked by: Mike
It will have plenty of clearance but will likely sit too high. I recommend a set of our 30 mm Precision Matched Rings .97" height for your setup for proper cheek weld.

Since this is a 0 MOA mount can it be mounted with the cantilever toward the rear to provide rail space for offset iron sights or an offset red dot sight?

Asked by: Ronnie
Thanks for the question! Yes, you can mount this cantilever mount either way as long as you have the proper eye relief for your eye.
