StrikeFire Tactical 30 mm Ring Extra-High Absolute

overview
Tactical Extra-High Ring for StrikeFire Red Dot — Absolute Co-Witness
This StrikeFire extra-high ring mounts on Picatinny rails—positioning the center of the StrikeFire red dot scope tube at a height of 1.46 inches (37mm) from the base for absolute co-witness on AR15 platforms.
If you have a carry handle version of the AR15, you will usually need the low ring for the StrikeFire red dot. You will also require a carry handle mounting rail. Sold one ring per package.

what height mount would you recommend for mounting a strikefire II on a H&R excell auto 5 shotgun
I recommend the low height tactical ring on a one piece picatinny rail.

on the six screw 30mm tactical rings, what is the tightening sequence?
You want an even gap on each side, and 15-18 inch/lbs of torque. You'll want to tighten those similar to a car tire, and you'll have to do that to get an even gap.

What size ring should I use to mount strike fire 2 red dot to my db15 5.56 ar with still able to use magpul gen 2 mbus front and rear backup sights
You should use the Extra high lower 1/3 or Extra high absolute height depending on what type of co-witness you'd like! Give us a call at 800-426-0048 Ext. 5 if you have further questions.

I am trying to not use my cantilever for my strikefire 2 what is the difference between th 1/3 extra high and extra high absolute. I have back up sight front and rear and am trying to achieve cowitness using a ring
The difference in height is 3 mm, and one is for an absolute co-witness and the other is for a lower 1/3 co-witness. Please refer to this link regarding what each co-witness looks like - https://www.google.com/search?q=lower+1/3+vs+absolute+co+witness&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwioka6R4eDeAhXCrIMKHS1DDHcQ_AUIDigB&biw=1920&bih=949#imgrc=taqMUXhLAPBAQM:

I have a Ruger Precision Rifle in .308 and have the Mil Dot Viper 6.5-20 X 44 PA scope. I purchased the Vortex Optics Tactical 30mm Rings, Extra High. Were these rings a good choice for my equipment or is there a better alternative?
Thanks for reaching out! Yes, a far better option would be our 30mm Precision Matched Rings 1.45" for your setup - http://vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-precision-matched-rings-30mm-riflescope-145
The tactical rings aren't paired but work well for red dots and magnifiers!

What scope mount height would you recommend for a strike fire attached to a remington 870?
Thanks for the question! If you have a 1-piece Picatinny rail, I would recommend going with the Low ring for your 870.

Do these rings need to be lapped if used in pairs to mount a scope?
Thanks for the question! Yes, these rings are primarily designed to be used with red dots, so if using them for a rifle scope we suggest lapping them. Otherwise, we do offer rings that come in a pair designed for rifle scopes.

Will this be ok to replace the cantilever mount on the Strikefire II red/green dot?
Yes, that'll work. It depends on what height you want to mount it it though.
