Tactical 30mm Riflescope Ring — Low Height [0.83 Inches | 21.0 mm]

Robust 6-screw Tactical Ring is perfect for mounting red-dot optics, magnifiers, and other accessories with 30mm tube diameters to your Picatinny rail. When using this ring to mount a conventional riflescope, we strongly recommend lapping the rings for a proper and secure fit for your optic.

Note
This Vortex Tactical Ring positions the center of the riflescope tube at a height of 0.83 inches (21.0 mm) from the base.

Can I use low TRL rings on a Ruger American Predator short action with a Leupold VX•R 4-12x50mm?

Asked by: ppoli
I recommend using our Pro Rings in low height. The Tactical Rings are not designed to be used as a pair, they are designed for single ring use with red dots.

Are these rings made in China?  I bought a set to use for a scope and the boxes they came in are Vortex branded but there are no Vortex marking on the rings themselves, and rings and boxes say "Made in China".  Also, do they have the VIP warranty too?

Asked by: Matt
Yes, they are made in China. If you are going to use them as a pair on a riflescope, we do recommend lapping them as they are designed for single ring use on a red dot and will need to be lapped to ensure they are suitable for use on a riflescope. They are covered under our VIP Warranty.

Can I get away with using low TRL rings on a Ruger American Predator short action with my Viper HS 44mm?

Asked by: Coach
I suggest using our Viper 30 mm low height rings, as they are designed to be used as a pair while the Tactical rings are designed for single ring use with red dots.

I have an Arsenal Sam7. I bought a Midwest Industries side mount rail and the strikefire 2. The cantilever is way to high so I am not getting enough cheek weld. I also want to be able to lower 1/3 co witness. Would the low mount be fix this?

Asked by: EZrugger
The low mount would be a better option for your setup, but I do not have that setup to test to make sure you can get lower 1/3 co-witness.

I have a Ruger Mini-14 and put a Vortex Optics StrikeFire II Red Dot Sight with Cantilever Mount on my rifle. I don't care for the cantilever mount I feel it is too high. Will the "Tactical Low Ring for StrikeFire Red Dot be the proper choice?
Asked by: Bob D.
I recommend the medium Tactical Ring, the low ring is too low for most situations.

Hello, I have a S&W M&P15 that I have mounted a Rock River Arms Tactical Carry handle with picatiny rail. Can I use the Vortex Strikfire II and the Low profile mount ring for Lower 1/3 co witness in the event my optic goes out? Please advise.
Asked by: spirit51
This would depend on the type of carry handle mount you are using. I believe with a mount like this, and a low ring you would be able to co-witness - http://www.midwayusa.com/product/218781/ncstar-weaver-style-ar-15-carry-handle-mount-with-tri-mount-adjustable-side-tabs-matte. I hope this helps.

I have a ruger AR556 I want to purchase a strikefire2 and want the lowest mount possible . I prefer an absolute sight picture. Which to I buy ?
Asked by: Randy
We have a number of mounting rings for the Strikefire II, but I would caution that mounting that optic too low would not allow you to get behind the optic properly. Here is a link to the mounting rings: http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-tactical-30mm-riflescope-ring-low.

I have a Ruger AR-556 and put a Vortex Optics StrikeFire II Red Dot Sight 30mm Tube 1x 4 MOA Bright Dot with Cantilever Extra-High Picatinny-Style Ring Mount Matte on my rifle. The cantilever mount is too high for full co-witness the iron sights, bottom 1/3rd at best. Will the "Tactical Low Ring for StrikeFire Red Dot", allow full co-witness of the rifles sights??
Asked by: Cranky12
The cantilever mount is designed for lower 1/3 cowitness height, the tactical low ring is not the ring you would want for absolute cowitness. The ring you want is our extra high absolute cowitness ring found here: http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-strikefire-red-dot-ring-extra-high-absolute-co-witness
