Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product - Great service I purchased this product to use with my Viper HD 10x42 binoculars on my Summit SS-P tripod. The design is very good and secure for how light and compact the pieces are. You are able to use this with most chest harnesses. The screw connection to the base plate could use a little loc tite to ensure that it doesn't come loose in the field. When I received mine I had a hard time with the binoculars tilting and eventually loosening the screw the goes in to the actual binocular body. I called Vortex because I realized that mine hadnt come with the small lock washer that was in the pictures. The representative apologized and told me that he would have it sent next day to me. Sure enough it arrived the next day and the problem was resolved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mount for your binos!!! I purchase this soon after buying a pair of Vortex ViperHD 15x50s and a Razor Spotter. I wanted to be able to put my binos on the tripod i bought with the spotting scope. As previously mentioned with high wind it is best to skip the quick attach and just screw it straight to the tripod. I plan on purchasing a second quick release plate for my tripod so i can just leave one on my binos when Im in high wind areas.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wind is no good! Very quick and easy to use and set up...the only down falls are there is a tiny bit of play in the connection of the mounted base to the attachment on the binoculars. If there is no wind, all is good. But just a small amount of wind can make it shake/vibrate. Still a good mount, but if Vortex wanted to improve this mount, that would be my suggestion. Thanks!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Happy Fittings Do Not Lock Together I am big Vortex fan. Picture of Uni-Daptor made me think it was like QD fitting. Put it on my High Country tripod, set my 10X50 Viper HD's on it. I moved and accidentally bumped the tripod and my binocular's were on the carpet. I won't use it again, unless I have binocular harness attached. First time I haven't been able to give a Vortex product five stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Adapter - Hex Bolt Easy to Lose I love the Uni-Daptor, but the hex screw that attaches it to your binos is super easy to lose if you don't want to leave it on there all the time. Next release, I'd recommend making adding some sort of ridge or gasket so it isn't removed from the larger piece.

I have the Fury binoculars/rangefinder. With the adapter connected to the binos, are there issues with the binos fitting into a chest harness? I have the FHF bino harness and the binos fit, but they are snug even without an adapter connected.

Asked by: Chad
The UniDaptor should fit in your harness without any trouble, it only comes out the bottom of the Fury about 1/4" when the binocular is flat and less if it is folded in.

I have Vortex binoculars, so it mounted up fine, but I'm not sure about mounting to a Nikon.
