Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENCE. I have this scope mounted on my BCM 16" Stainless Steel RECCE. Shooting out to about 600 yards with 77gr is a breeze with this thing. Clarity, build, and finish is excellence. I own two other PST scopes as well, and am looking into a fourth. I always want to purchase a NightForce when I'm looking for new glass, but Vortex is just too good at the price point. I can't justify shelling out that kind of cash when Vortex optics get the job done just as well. I am a currently a recreational shooter, but did my time in the Army as an SDM, am have plenty of time behind lots of glass. Vortex has me sold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great glass, great retical, indistructable i have three vortex scopes along with nikon, leupold and bushnell but i am the most confident is vortex scopes. my pst 2.5-10 i have mounted on my savage arms msr 15 and i think it’s the perfect match. i have enuff scope to reach out to over 500 yds and hit a 4” gong but still can hit multiple targets under 25 yds in succession. the illuminated retical is nice for dusk or night but not bright enuff for use in full sun. turrets are crisp, positive and accurate. the 30mm tube truly comes in to play with light transmission,as it allows you to see well past dark or even in the dark on the right nigh coyote hunting. overall great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance and price. I was searching for the right scope for my M1A. The performance of the scope is about prefect for my tired eyes. 2.5x is enough power for closer targets and the 10x is high enough to to reach out to 500 yards for my eyes. The illumination is high enough for me on mixed cloudy days and the glass is really clear. I weighed the benefits of the FFP vs the the extra light from a 44mm lens and chose this model. The warranty is top notch. I am very satisfied with my purchase and will buy Vortex again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super value for .308 AR I have been shooting 5.56 for many years, but decided to dip my toes into precision shooting with a .308/7.62 AR platform rifle. I consulted with my trainer who declared the Viper PST the best value platform. Similarly prices competitors had numerous failures in his classes, but he'd never seen a single PST failure. I found the 2.5-10x44 at a ridiculously good price during a Cabelas doorbuster sale (>40% off) and gave it a try. Mounted in a set of ADM rings, I am impressed with the sight picture, reticle & glass clarity, and overall construction. Having looked through every competing riflescope, I can say with confidence that you cannot buy a better medium magnification scope in this price range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goodbye Zeiss This is my first riflescope from Vortex. I have some of their other products and loved them so I went wit this PST on my tactical build. This scope is amazing. I have always loved Zeiss scopes but I will not buy them anymore. Vortex is superior in quality and clarity and a much better value overall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great zoom range for urban engagements I bought this scope several years ago after doing a lot of research. This scope offers several features other higher priced scopes have. The 44mm objective lets in ample light for low light conditions and produces clarity enough to make accurate 500 yard shots. The 2.5-10 zoom is perfect for urban engagements for either bolt or semi-auto guns. Turrets mirror the reticle and is easy to adjust. Only reason this review is not 5 stars is this scope does not offer a FFP option and does not have a paralax adjustment otherwise, this scope is money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best products I have used. I wanted something for my Marlin 444. The 2.5-10x44 was just the right power. I put a 20moa rail on and mounted the Viper PST. Next day I was at the range. My first shot was 3in left and 4in low. Used the reticle and measured the MOA, gave the turrets the proper adjustment and was dead on at 100yds. That was the fastest I ever sighted in. This is my first Vortex scope and it made me a believer. I put my zero stops in and calculated my MOA for 440yds, 24.5moa. I hit the gong the first shot. :) That was the start of my addiction to Vortex.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great scope! I have used this scope on a precision AR, and a .308 bolt gun. I really like the reticle and the turret adjustments. My eyes have a hard time with really thin reticles, and the reticles on both of my Viper PST scopes are a perfect balance of easy to see, but not too thick. I do wish this scope had side focus, and I do wish the illumination knob adjustment gave a little better feedback on when it is truly turned off vs. just on a low setting. I have burned up a couple of batteries because I thought it was turned off when it wasn't.
