Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Monocular! I bought this product a few months ago, and have been using it for shed hunting along with some simple glassing for deer and pronghorn. This Monocular is perfect for every sort of use. Along with shed hunting and glassing I've been using this product when I go hiking. It does an excellent job giving a clear picture of whatever you are looking at. There have been zero issues with the lens fogging up, and I've even dropped it and its held up! I've been extremely impressed with this product! My next optic purchase will for sure be from Vortex! #Vortexnation

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tough Clarity is important, but it needs to be tough too. My Solo monocular usually rides around in my truck door when I am not hunting. The bumping around in the truck has never affected the performance of it. I also have it attached to the straps on my pack during hunting. It has stood up against all the trees and rocks it has been brushed up against. Still clear and something I use all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, rugged, clear optic I have a hard time with binoculars due to an eye problem, so having a monocular that is a quality piece of gear is great. In the PNW fogging and water damage is a bit problem, but I have had no issues with the Vortex solo. It is a tough little bugger. Tough enough I let my kids use it without worry. It is compact and light and works well in low light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for lightening your hunting pack When I'm hunting out of my fixed blind for deer, I love my binoculars. But when I'm stalk hunting, the vortex solo 8x25 is in my pocket. It's perfect for Indiana and Ohio hunting. It is small and light and keeps me from using my scope to identify movement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and quick Got this for shed hunting/general hiking where I didn't want to have a harness on. Straps well to a backpack strap. Works well one-handed, slight changes for use with one hand are noticeable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy & Quick I keep this monocular in my truck so I always have an optic handy for quick use. I've taken it hunting, hiking, and even used it in a recent family trip to Disneyland, where a few other dads commented to me that they wish they had one! It is bright and easy to quickly find and focus on your subject. Being kept in my truck, I use it to see traffic conditions up the road (while I'm not moving, of course) and other uses not related to hunting or field usage.
