Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding optics in a hunting pack size. At age 70, and with diminished visual acuity due to macular degeneration, having a lightweight spotting scope that fits in my hunting pack is as important to me as my rifle or my bow. I've had the scope for over 2 years and with it's excellent optics it plays a key role in my hunting success and my enjoyment of the outdoors. While it won't compete with the 65 mm and 80 mm scopes, the optics in this scope absolutely excel in the 50 mm class with exceptional clarity throughout the 11x - 33x range. I'd also give 5 stars to the Vortex VIP warranty. When my scope was accidently damaged Vortex kept me informed about the repairs and had my scope back to me free of charge in a very reasonable time frame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight spotting scope In the off season I invested in this spotting scope for moose season. Over the summer they've made the trip on every camping trip to play with and get used to. I've picked out sheeo and goats in areas I've never known there to be wildlife in. The majority of my moose hunting is done on foot so these being very light weight was a major draw for me. As to be expected from the Razor line they are very clear. They are also small enough to be easy to bring along to trips to the range. I wish the case was better fitted to the spotting scope but that's just me being picky. For the price and lack of weight these are tough to beat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, lightweight, clear glass. A permanent fixture in my hunting pack. For hunting mountainous country I believe this little spotter is a must have. Has given me the ability to spot bedded animals and size up animals out past 1000yds. Small and light enough to carry hunting, even if you're weight conscious about your gear. Pairs well with the high country tripod. Glass is very clear, focus and magnification work smoothly. I use binos on the tripod and switch to this spotter when I want more magnification. The quick release plate makes swapping optics quick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Some times great things come in small packages I bought this scope a month ago and I couldn't be happier. Don't let the size of this scooe fool you, it is very powerful at long distances. I live in Arizona and with the temperature at 98 degrees this last weekend. I was looking at a mountain side about 1.5 miles out with it zoomed in all the way and the heat waves this scope is still clear enough I think you could still count points on a deer, elk for sure. It is light weight and it is very good in low light and you can't beat the VIP warranty. My father in law bought the top of the line Bushnell spotting scope which is the Bushnell Elite in a 20x60x80 and in my opinion this little vortex blows it away and the Bushnell is a very good scope. I am very happy with my choice and I would buy it all over again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Backpack hunters dream Pretty safe to say I don't leave home without this thing. The only set back for me was a rubber eye piece for using a phone scope, which I later trimmed off. Other then that, I carry a pair of 10x42 razor binos and love having this for that closer look. The size and weight of this is unmatched. Can't say enough good about these, iv tried a razor 65 mm and a viper 65 mm and always come back to the 11-33

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny I was a little concerned that I was replacing my Viper 20-60-80 with this small scope but after using it for this last season I have no regrets. Its small, light and fits in my pack with ease. From my back porch I live about 2 miles away from a mountain face full of Elk and Deer. I ts fun to watch them with the spotting scope. I can see good detail with minimal distortion. My only gripe is that the focus knob feels like it has some grit in it when turning. I never had this with the Viper. I'm not to concerned thought with the lifetime warranty if it craps out Ill send it in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made my hunt! I spent several days straight behind this scope on a recent Alaska black bear hunt and it was indispensable. The weight an clarity are the selling features on this model and it certainly has those. At times i would have liked a little more magnification but the clarity made up for it and allowed me to spot a load of bears through rain and intermittent fog.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Spotter for the back country hunter. I have had the Vortex Razor 11-33x50 for two years now, Its a great little scope for people that carry everything on their backs. It's very compact yet clarity of the Razor HD glass makes up for the the lac of magnification. Below are a few hunts Ive been on where I was able to find animals from using my Razor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbBZ4YnpaWg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhUosRzB5YQ
