The ability to deliver precision fire from a variety of positions in a high-pressure situation is a critical skill for any police sniper. This 2-day course will teach students how to effectively build and shoot from non-standard positions using both their callout gear (tripods, packs, bags, etc.) as well as other objects they may encounter in the field such as walls, vehicles, fences, chairs, rooftops, etc. Students will learn how to quickly set up and shoot from hasty positions using minimal equipment and have the opportunity to utilize these positions on the range as well as with our live-fire CAPS simulator, providing a training experience that is as close as one can get to a real-world LE sniper engagement.
This class is appropriate for both veteran and new police snipers. Agencies are encouraged to register two participants to work in class as a shooter/spotter team as they would during a deployment. However, lone students will be paired with a partner for the class.
