Fully Multi-Coated Proprietary coatings increase light transmission with multiple anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces.
Second Focal Plane Reticle Scale of reticle maintains the same ideally-sized appearance. Listed reticle subtensions used for estimating range, holdover and wind drift correction are accurate at the highest magnification.

Tube Size 1 inch diameter tube offers a versatile blend of adjustment, size and weight for a wide variety of shooting applications.
Single-Piece Tube Maximizes alignment for improved accuracy and optimum visual performance, as well as ensures strength and waterproofness.
Aircraft-Grade Aluminum Constructed from a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum for strength and rigidity.
Waterproof O-ring seals prevent moisture, dust and debris from penetrating the binocular for reliable performance in all environments.
Fogproof Argon gas purging prevents internal fogging over a wide range of temperatures.
Shockproof Rugged construction withstands recoil and impact.
Hard Anodized Finish Highly durable hard-coat anodization provides a low-glare matte surface and helps camouflage the shooter's position.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bang for the buck! I recently purchased this scope after deciding to move from a red dot to a magnified optic on my AR15. I was not interested in a scope the size of the rifle or capable of spotting distant planets, a 1.75-5 power was precisely what I needed. The build quality and attention to detail are outstanding, the glass is clear and the reticle crisp. Sight in was a standard affair and I feel the scope has allowed my rifle’s accuracy to be realized. I am still in awe that this level of quality and performance came so affordably! Thank you Vortex

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cold Range discussion who has the best scope Inevitably during cold range breaks the guys eventually get around to bragging about their optics and often who has the most expensive scopes and therefore the best accuracy. I often was getting the " Try mine I paid a gazillion dollars for it so it is a real tack driver". Jeez, these guys crack me up. I am a firm believer in spending the least amount of $ necessary to get the job done. I will put my Vortex Optics DBK-08-BDC Diamondback 1.75-5x32 Riflescope - Dead-Hold BDC Reticle up against much of the high dollar stuff that's out there. I let a few of the guys try my rifle and without fail they just assume its a thousand dollar rig. In reality it is just the right scope for the job at hand. It is absolutely great for target shooting up to 200 yards (longest range near me).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from fish eye I have had this scope over a year now, it is very distorted around the edges throughout the magnification range but is worse at low end, it is like looking through a fisheye camera lense, I sent a SPARC dot scope back a few months ago because of a halo in the tube and was told nothing was wrong, I would expect the same answer on this scope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's hard to beat a Vortex! I work behind the gun counter at a major outfitter retail store. We sell Vortex scopes 5 to 1 compared to all other brands combined. This 1.75-5 X 32 Diamondback scope in my opinion is the perfect glass for any AR style platform. It's lightweight at 12.8 oz and only 10.2" length make it compact and perfect for close and medium distance accuracy. I have it on my Ar-15's and mini 14's, and I do recommend it to everyone with complete confidence!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favourite Scope I own. I own 5 vortex scopes at this point and this is by far my favourite. I hunt in dense forest and the low magnification, clarity and weight make this amazing for the hunting I do. I liked it so much that I bought one for my brother and dad. My only gripe is the BDC reticle is useless to me because of how close the hashes are to each other. At the time the BDC was my only option but I see they make a Duplex as well that would fit me better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good scope for my CVA Accura V2 Bench shooting out to 150 yds. works well. Also 2 deer @ 75 & 100 yds. What more do you want? I'm now looking for a new Vortex for my .308.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as the higher magnification Diamondbks Bought this new from amazon. Argon purged, finger adjustable, very smart magnification range. Solid build. The problem is very poor optical performance. The higher magnification range Diamondbacks don't seem to suffer in the same way. Very hard to pick out a Deer, if you're looking for one. Fuzzy low light performance. Cool, flat colors. Lots of (radial?) distortion at any setting. It's a well conceived product and solidly built... but optically it's just not ready. Maybe the 1.5-5 mag range is just pushing what the low-cost manufacturing can do. Sent the product back. Not going to buy another Vortex from this Model line. Might likely have to regard Viper as the cheapest Vortex I'd consider buying. Every MFG has a lower tier cut-off to their "good stuff" and I'd suggest Viper is it. But I'm kind of surprised, because Vortex has a name for pulling off good performance at lower price points.
