Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'll be buying my wife a set soon Last spring I went to a local sportman's store and looked through about a dozen sets of binos. The salesman really knew about optics and gave neutral advice. I felt the Vortex Diamondback 10X42 had the best sight picture and a great price, so I bought them. I used them all last hunting season and absolutely loved them. They are lightweight, durable, and let me see clearly what I wasn't able to see clearly before. If there was a negative I would say that the plastic caps on the fat end don't seat well with the raised groove on the body of the scopes. However, when I wear them hunting I take those off anyway, so it's not a big deal to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best binoculars for the money!!! So I have owned these bino's for ten plus years they are the only binoculars that the glass had remained clear the entire time! These things have lived on my chest out in the woods or in my truck an still keep working like the day I bought up. The fact they come with a life time no fault warranty is a bonus.... Highly highly recommend for anyone looking for a high quality optic at a great price point. I hunt in some very rainy locations and have had zero issues with water foggy up the optics. I've used them from hunting mountain goats to hunting coyotes and they are one piece of kit that I know will not let me down

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good glass with an even better warranty! I purchased these to use at work where a portion of my duties involve being a precision rifle operator on the PD's tac team. Price point was a big hurdle for me as I was purchasing them with my own money. I found the Diamondback line up to be the best bang for my buck. It's good glass that I have been able to use for hours with out excessive eye strain. The warranty is what made the decision a no brainier. I can keep them in my pack, which gets tossed around, knowing if something happened to happen to them Vortex would stand behind them. I've been so impressed with these optics that Vortex will be going on my new personal guns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compared to Nikon Prostaff 7s for a week...... I went Mule deer hunting for a week in Nov last year and I bought the Nikon Prostaff 7s to take with me. My hunting buddy had the Vortex Diamondback 10x42. For a week we spent all day glassing and were behind the lens for hours a day. I kept grabbing his to compare and everyday I got more upset that I had made the wrong choice. We I got back to TX went straight to Cabela's to return the Nikon's and got the Vortex. The Vortex is just brighter in all conditions. Clarity was similar but I could just see more with the Vortex. Since they were similar prices it was a no brainer to go with Vortex.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product reasonable price I bought my first pair of vortex binoculars about 3 years ago. I needed an upgrad from my current ones but was on a fairly tight budget. I tried a lot of binoculars and found that even though they were quite a bit cheaper I liked the vortex brand more than any other. These binoculars have crystal clear viewing. The glass is amazing and they are very durable. The big test for me was using them in low lighting. They worked amazingly and I can use them all they way until dark with no problems. Add on the fact that they come with a lifetime warranty and vortex is the obvious choice of binoculars. What a great product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and Clear! For the price these binos are hard to beat. I was originally looking at the Redfield Rebel in 10x42. Optically they are very similar(if not slightly better in low light), but the Vortex were much lighter. I feel this makes a huge difference when lugging them around the mountains all day chasing game. The focus wheel is also one of the smoothest in this price range which is a pleasure to use. The eyecups are comfortable and easy to twist up and down. They do however stay put once you position them up or down. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to for a quality binocular without breaking the bank.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great glass for the money! I've had my first gen Diamondback 10x42 binos for almost a year now. I purchased them based on the positive reviews and the seemingly great bang for your buck for optics in their price range. They have definitely delivered. The first impressive use was spotting for a family member sighting in a deer rifle. The bullet holes were very visible at 100 yards on a plain cardboard target; the shooter could not see the holes through his rifle scope of similar magnification but at a higher price point. I have also been able to easily gauge the beard length on tom turkeys at 500+ yards with these binos. I'm ready to try the new generation Diamondbacks as well! Good stuff Vortex Optics!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everyone Loves Them I bought these a few years ago at the insistence of the salesman at the store. I had gone in looking at a different brand but I'm so glad I bought these. I have used them for numerous deer and elk hunts, as well as vacation bird watching and whale spotting. I love the clarity and light gathering abilities. I routinely can looking into the shadows and spot animals bedded, or count points on a buck or bull before anyone else in the group. I finally convinced my friend and hunting buddy to buy a pair and my father too. This year for hunting we'll have three of these binos in the group and I can't wait to see how they perform for their new owners. Buy these binoculars, you won't regret it!
