Amazing
I sent my 10-year old bins to Vortex to be repaired and bought a new pair to use while I waited. I am amazed by the quality of the new Vortex bins—they are even brighter, more color accurate, and a better value than the Eagle Rangers they replaced, which is really saying something. As for the repair, the wait was surprisingly short and the work was meticulous. Moreover, I did not expect that they would be returned in like-new condition, but they indeed were. This is the most impressive warranty and service I have every experienced from a company. If you think this praise is too effusive, all I have to say is that I could say no less and still do them justice.

Don’t put off getting these binoculars.
For a long time I wavered on buying a pair of nice binoculars. Final I bit the bullet and bought the Vortex Diamondback HDs. They are great. I never thought it was worth having bino’s because I’d always used cheap ones that didn’t work very well. After opening my diamondbacks I was surprised at how clear the image was. I now keep them by my back door to scan the woods behind my house whenever I get a chance. My son and I have spotted many deer, foxes and other wild life that would have snuck through undetected. I grabbed the glass pack Chest harness for taking them afield. I now take them every time I hunt or hike. Don’t wait, pick up a pair and see what you’ve been missing.

6th pair of binoculars - 1st Vortex
I am a graduate engineer, retired after 45 years in manufacturing. Was a PA hunter and lived in the mountains. I now am retired and live near the coast in DE. I recently bought the Diamondback HD in the 8x42 configuration. I am extremely impressed with all the features of this optic. I have compared it with my binoculars from 4 reputable manufacturers. The Vortex excels in all cases.
One mistake that many reviewers make (in my opinion) is stating that this is an excellent optic for its price point. "It is an excellent optic, PERIOD!" I expect to by a 10x42 as soon as I get permission from the "boss". Great product ... stop researching and order it.
