Overview

The Night Vision Carbine course at Vortex Edge® is an awesome learning experience for so many reasons. For starters, you don't have to have any experience shooting a carbine under NVD (Night Vision Devices) or with any of the related accessories to join - In fact, we'll provide all that expensive, hard-to-get, and sometimes complicated equipment to you for the duration of the class at no charge. Even if you have your own equipment and have used it before, finding places to shoot in the middle of the night, and learning the most effective way to see, aim, shoot, and manipulate your equipment in the dark is difficult on your own. Lucky for us, we can go completely dark in all the ranges at our indoor shooting facility to use NVD in the middle of the day in a controlled and safe environment. Our goal as instructors is to empower you to feel confident with a whole host of night vision equipment so it can become a legitimate advantage to you and your carbine in the dark.

Topics Covered:

  • How NVD/IR Lasers work, Their Advantages and Limitations
  • Proper Employment of NVD/IR Lasers
