Great rangefinder!Ordered this rangefinder from Vortex a while back and I am very pleased with it. It's accurate and very easy to use, just aim and click the button. It's rated for a 1000 yards, but I've gotten up to 1137 yards with no issues. The lanyard keeps it secure on my hand and the soft case gives it some protection when stored. If I had anything I want crazy about, it'd be that it feels a bit delicate. It's very light and fits well in my hand, but as light as it is makes worry about long term durability. But with Vortex's AMAZING warranties, the worry fade away quickly. Love this rangefinder and look forward to much more use in years to come.

A bit of a let down.Reviews that mentioned low light issues are accurate. The view through this is fairly dark due to tinting in the glass. A great feature when it was sunny and not a cloud in the sky, not so great in early or later hours.
The actual range finding gives me concern. I lazed an entire herd of cattle standing on top of each other at 300 yards and barely got a return. So I tried to range the large sheet metal windmill next to the cows. Same issue, barely ranged. It came down to best guess work when I actually had game in sights.
When I needed real ranging the most, this couldn't pick up an antelope at 200 yards.

Idaho Elk HuntingSeptember is the BEST month of the year. Archery elk hunting during the rut is something most will never get to experience but if you are reading this you may be preparing. The impact 1000 is perfect for archery hunting. its light weight, carrying case, and low profile easily attaches to a shoulder strap or bio harness (this is where I keep it). Its easy to shoot a tree, branch, or bush while you prepare for the bull to run up to you. Take it to the range to see how accurate it is. Its nice having the confidence in range when your heart starts beating hard and fast. Love the product and company.
