Compared to my dad’s 10x Swarovski range finder binoculars, our distances were within 5 yards out to 1000 consistently. Would recommend at this price point.

Just what the doctor ordered!Although most folks aspire to heavier caliber, longer range, rifles with high dollar optics, I'm an older hunter who hunts with a 30-06 Springfield equipped with a Vortex Diamondback scope. I hunt big game (Elk, Mule Deer, Whitetail). My comfort zone for shooting 180 grain ammo is 600 yards using a tripod rest. All I wanted in a rangefinder is a simple "meat and potatoes" distance reading that is dependably accurate out to 600 yards. I've been "around the block" enough to know when I'm outside my shooting distance. So far, this rangefinder has met my criteria. Additionally, although I take good care of my equipment in the field, I like the vortex warranty. The size is just right for my hand. I don't use the belt clip because I get tired of having to clean dust off of the exposed lenses. I just carry the soft case on my binocular harness . I like the rubberized coating. It makes it easy to hold on to in cold and wet weather. It would be handier with a tripod mount on the bottom Hunting buddies wonder why I don't opt for more advanced optics? I'm too old to keep up with technology advancements. This rangefinder is easy to set up and use, especially for us technologically challenged elders.

Great rangefinder!Ordered this rangefinder from Vortex a while back and I am very pleased with it. It's accurate and very easy to use, just aim and click the button. It's rated for a 1000 yards, but I've gotten up to 1137 yards with no issues. The lanyard keeps it secure on my hand and the soft case gives it some protection when stored. If I had anything I want crazy about, it'd be that it feels a bit delicate. It's very light and fits well in my hand, but as light as it is makes worry about long term durability. But with Vortex's AMAZING warranties, the worry fade away quickly. Love this rangefinder and look forward to much more use in years to come.
