Rated 4 out of 5 by from Venom 3 moa review I bought this for my walther q5. Bolted on with no problems using the doctor plate. Build quality is good. Sighting in was very straight forward. Accuracy was incredible. The RO commented that this combo of walther and vortex sight was more acurate than their open gun. The only thing i would change would be the ability to set an upper and lower threshold for the auto brightness. I really wanted to use this feature, but it seems to default to being too bright even in overcast conditions causing flare and distortion of the dot. This means i need to abandon the auto brightness and manually set for the relevant lighting conditions.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not enough adjustment I purchased this Venom two weeks ago and mounted it on a Mod. 41 S&W target pistol. At twenty five yards there was not enough adjustment at 25yds to bring point of impact up to point of aim. About four inches too low for p.o.i. Had to put some shims under the front of the optic to get on target and have some adjustment left over. Can't tell if there is something wrong with my particular optic or it's supposed to be that way. Not happy about the need for shims but other than that I like the clarity. This particular Mod 41 has had different optics on it over the years from early Aimpoint to cheaper units. So I suspect the unit and not the pistol.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Venom Red dot on a Browning Buckmark. I purchased the venom with intentions of putting it on my Buckmark. I purchased another brands red dot, this is about the time I found out I had an astigmatism. It is slight but enough to star burst certain red dots. I found the venom to be clear and the dot is easy on my eye. I use the buckmark to shoot paper and plink. It is a lot of fun! I easily shoot 500+ rounds through it when I take it out and have never had any problems with it. With the great warrenty I do not mind letting friends and youngsters shoot it. I have gotten many compliments on how easy it is to aim and shoot. Looking forward to trying other vortex products on calibres.
