NOTE: The effectiveness of your custom turret depends on the accuracy of the data provided. Inaccuracies can arise from incorrect ballistic data or major changes in shooting conditions. We strongly recommend using a chronograph to verify muzzle velocity.
Identify your riflescope model from the dropdown list to ensure your custom turret fits. Find the model number on the box, manual, or riflescope body for perfect alignment.
Specify if your riflescope uses MOA or MRAD based on its reticle and turrets. This detail is found on the specifications label, user manual, or engraved on the turret.
Choose the cartridge you use from the dropdown menu. You can find this information on the ammunition box or engraved on the rifle’s barrel near the chamber.
Select your bullet's weight in grains (gr), which influences shot trajectory and precision. This information is available on the bullet or ammunition box or the manufacturer’s website.
Refers to the design or make of the bullet. Select the type that matches your ammunition from the dropdown menu. You can find this information on the ammunition/bullet box or in the manufacturer’s specifications.
Cal (in): The bullet's diameter in inches (ex. 6.5 Creedmoor® = .264 in. or .300 Winchester® Magnum = 0.308 in).

Weight (gr): The weight of the bullet in grains (ex. 175 gr).

Length (in): The total length of the bullet from base to tip, measured in inches (ex. 1.27 in.).

Drag Function: Choose the ballistic model for your bullet's air drag resistance. Use G1 for flat-base bullets and G7 for boat-tail bullets typical in centerfire cartridges.

Metro: Select either ARMY or ICAO, which are standards for atmospheric conditions affecting ballistics. Choose based on the environmental conditions you expect to encounter; consult with the bullet manufacturer or the GeoBallistics® app for guidance.

Ballistic Coefficient: A measure of the bullet's aerodynamic efficiency. Enter the coefficient, usually found in the bullet or ammunition manufacturer’s specifications (ex. .264 140 gr. ELD-M G1 = .646, G7 = .326).

NOTE: Details such as bullet weight, ballistic coefficient, and bullet type are critical for your custom turret’s performance and precision
Sight Height (in): Height from the center of the bore to the center of the optic. To measure this, use a ruler or caliper to find the height from the middle of the rifle’s barrel to the middle of the riflescope's body at the mounting point.

Zero Range (yd or m): The distance at which you have zeroed your rifle.

Muzzle Velocity (ft/s): The projectile’s speed as it exits the barrel. We highly recommend using a chronograph to verify this information. Call us up at 1 (800) 4VORTEX if you need assistance determining your muzzle velocity.
The typical elevation, in feet, where you will be shooting or hunting. You can find this information using a topographic map, GPS device, or online mapping service for the location you plan to shoot in.
Enter the average temperature (in Fahrenheit) of your shooting or hunting location. Base this on historical data or current forecasts for the area.
Your preferred measurement for distance, either yards or meters. Select the unit you will use for shooting distances. This choice determines how the custom turret calibrates for range adjustments.
You can name your custom turret anything you like for easy identification. Your name will be etched on the finished turret, helping you to quickly recognize and select the right one for your shooting needs.

Custom turrets are designed to match your specific ammunition, rifle setup, and shooting conditions, enabling precise bullet-drop compensation. Replace your standard elevation turret with a custom turret marked with distances to make quick, accurate in-field adjustments. Just range your target, dial the turret, and shoot confidently.

NOTE: The effectiveness of your custom turret depends on the accuracy of the information provided. Major inaccuracies can arise from incorrect ballistic data or significant changes in shooting conditions.
