Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first tripod This is my first hunting tripod so I don't have anything to compare it against. That being said, I opted for aluminum over carbon fiber knowing the weight may be more in aluminum. I'm not afraid of it getting scratched up or anything, which is good because my first hunt of the year left some scars on the legs. It is stable and packs easily on the side of my bag when I'm hiking. I can't say the weight was a problem for me because I don't count ounces anyway. It sets up and adjusts quickly, holds my binos steady, and just does everything I want it to do. I'm really happy with the tripod and I don't see any reason for me to spend more on carbon fiber over this option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it... We got one for Christmas and love it. We shoot PRS matches and its a must have. It's a great entry level tripod. Were saving up to purchase the Ridgeview or Radian as well. Definitely worth the money, would recommend to others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My first tripod for my first spotting scope. I got this to attach to my diamondback 20-60x80 spotting scope. I like it over all, I just haven't found a way to lock in my horizontal shifts. If you bump it at all it shifts left or right. So, awkward if your spotting yourself. For someone else it's fine. Overall, good sturdy product, plus the Vortex warranty!
