Rated 1 out of 5 by x72821 from Save your Money This product was a big disappointment, the dovetail insert deformed during installation and the mount itself is made out of plastic, which is not clear on the website.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jabate01 from Dissapointed by the quality. To start with, the original cost is $39.99. I go mine on sale for $17.99 and after receiving it I felt cheated. The mounting plate is plastic, the shim plate is metal. The shim plate doesn't make any since, it only created a smooth surface for the RDS to sit. None of the tabs on the mount plate align with any of the hole on the bottom of the RDS. AND THE BEST PART OF ALL, the screws provided DO NOT fit through the holes in the RDS. After a bit effort I managed to get the screws through the holes, only to have carves threads into the inner wall of the hole. The screw head turns out to be to big to sit down in the space of the RDS. Its like some half wit manager came up with this idea and never bothered to see if all the parts fit before tarnishing the name of Vortex with an incredibly bad product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jeff from Wrong Product Description I bought the S&W MP mounting kit to mount my Razor red dot to my Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 9mm (full size). I followed directions step by step...and on the 12th shot the entire red dot and mount flipped off the handgun and broke the glass! After further research, this mount is NOT for all M&P pistols...it’s only for ones with the slide cut out. Nowhere in the product description does it say this!!! Now I am out $40 for the mount and have a broken red dot!
