Light and compact enough to carry everywhere, yet sturdy enough to support a large 80mm spotting scope. Using a compact ball head, this tripod is rock solid and dependable for watching wildlife from extreme distances at high magnifications.

Perfect for baccountry hunts
I just bought this tripod this season for archery and Idaho. I have used it on three trip so far and it is amazing! This thing is so lightweight and easy to pack you forget that it's there. Easy setup very wide range of heights and great movement. I also use the binocular mount with my Vortex Diamondback binoculars to keep it steady for long periods of time. Vortex has it going on they are my only choice for Optics!

Excellent Tripod
For the price this is a great tripod. We've taken them out on many hunts and it has preformed flawlessly. We did have on of the clips break but with the awesome VIP warranty it was back in action and ready for next season. I recommend it to just about anyone, including photographers or video dads filming their kids soccer games.

TRIGGER TIME from
Not for backpacking
Took the Ridgeview second time hunting and the leg broke off of the main piece. Probably from riding on the four wheeler. I did however like the ball head and how easy it is to maneuver. It also held up the spotting scope really well. Nice that the leg was covered under the Vortex Warranty. Wouldn't use this tripod for long hunting trips or backpacking trips.
