My favorite red dot to date.Recently purchased this optic for my LWRC AR15. I have love everything about it since. The durability and compatibility have been top notch. The integration of a AAA battery makes it a lot more user friendly. This optic comes with a nitrogen purged housing and coated glass that comes protected with a rubber housing cover and lens caps. The 2 MOA dot is bright and crisp for fast target acquisition. The lifetime warranty seals the deal because vortex will replace the optic anytime if something goes wrong. I highly recommend this product!

Incredible warranty and serviceI sold 18 of the Sparc AR II to the Duluth PD. When they changed batteries on the optics, a couple of them wouldn't power up correctly. I called Vortex and they sent them two new Sparc AR optics no charge, no questions. Amazing warranty and customer service.

Overall a good budget red dotHonestly not a bad optic for the cost. I have it mounted on my AR-15 and have shot with it plenty. The red dot has held its zero through about five hundred rounds or so.
The pros, light weight, small, comes with everything needed to mount it, and adjusting it is simple because the caps work to adjust your windage and elevation.
The cons, it can be difficult to see the dot when rapidly bringing up your rifle, I find that I occasionally have to search for my dot. The quality of the dot is good when kept at low power, but if you raise the brightness too far it "stars" out leaving you with a very messy sight picture. Inside the optic it self, there is a small glob of plastic, initially I thought it was a defect, turns out it's actually the emitter, it sticks out like a sore thumb but you learn to deal with it. Last but not least, Vortex boasts about American made this, that, and the other, first thing I read on the SPARC AR was made in China.
Still, I would highly recommend this optic to someone that wants a quality product that they can depend on without breaking the bank.
