good value
I bought it last summer as an upgrade from my previous spotting scope. Didn't have money to buy a top of the line model, so tried to find one to get the best bang for my buck. The warranty was definitely a large selling point. One draw back is when getting into the top 1/3 or so of magnification range. It gets blurry and am unable to fine tune it to see clearly. I can tell if its a "big" buck/bull but am unable to accurately field score it unless it is close enough to use the lower magnification levels. I love the angled eye piece, so happy I went that route and also the larger objective for early mornings and late evenings.

Awesome combination of performance and value
I have owned my DB spotting scope for about 4 years now. It has been a regular at the range, but also has gone on hunting trips out west. In either environment, I have been pleased with the clarity that this scope provides. It is a bit heavy, so it needs to be stabilized on the right tripod, which helps to further enhance the performance. I dropped my scope the other week, and was apprehensive. The reputation for the warranty is great, but I was not sure that it would cover "Stupid". It does--the team at Vortex repaired my scope, and I got it back in as-new condition. Was really pleased with their service, and will buy more of their products because of it.

Great Quality! Worth the Money!
Bought my spotting scope last year as my first big purchase into optics for hunting. Very happy with my purchase. The price was very reasonable and the quality of glass is uncompareable to another lower priced spotting scopes. Clarity at maxed zoom Is not darkened or distorted. Very happy with my purchase. I even compared this scope to my buddies Razor spotting scope and the difference was minuscule. Keep in mind if you want to do a lot of glassing with a window mount you may want the straight scope. I bought the angled scope so when your using a tripod in the mountains it's a little easier on your neck looking around. BUY THIS SCOPE!
