The Diamondback Tactical is a long-range wolf in sheep's clothing. Rather than cramming features in at the expense of turret performance and optical quality, the Diamondback Tactical dials it back, putting the focus where it counts. Exposed turrets bring tracking performance previously unheard of at this price point, while its optical system delivers sharp image quality even at extended range. Its relatively simple design places you firmly in the driver's seat with the potential to take on that 1,000 yard mark and beyond, all at a price that's easy to justify for new shooters, your training rifle, as well as experienced shooters looking for a back-to-basics optic on their fun gun. Opt for one of the first focal plane models on a sweet shooting rifle and you've got yourself a perfectly capable competition rig without breaking the bank.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from first inexpensive FFP I feel like the price is undervalued for such a great scope! The glass is very good and clear, no blur around the edges and crisp reticle. reticle is thin enough that at full power (x24) it doesn't obscure targets, but thick enough at x6 power it is still clear and distinguishable. turrets are positive and accurate enough to dial in for a fast and precise adjustment. The side mounted parallax adjustment is standard and has a good spectrum for any range. Now that it includes a sunshade it is an even better deal. weight is a little high, but not to a fault. being on a 30mm tube and a 50mm bell, field of view is far better at range than earlier models. great buy and even better quality, Vortex will continue to have my business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Price Point Ive had this for a week so far and for the price it is a great scope. For those of us who can't get into their Razor or Viper line, this is a great choice. The glass slightly better than most at this price range and the Parallax adjustment is spot on. Mine is on a Howa 308 that launches 175 grain sierra TMKs at 2685fps and slams targets at 1000 yards. Scope tracks and does what it was made to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome scope for the money Got it when it first came out, only one company in Alberta had it, needless to say it was a no brainer when I got, put it on my .308 fcp-sr , 2 shot zero and from there it was out to 562yds with sub moa group, couldn't be happier, should have came with a vortex hat though :), called Vortex to see if it was ok to paint the scope and there reply was " Go ahead just make sure to send us a picture we'd love to see it" , some companies painting a scope was a big no and voided the warranty, vortex warranty is number one in my book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What more could you ask for? I bought this scope to go on a Bergera 6.5 Creedmoor. This is my first, first focal plane scope. After 2 shots and a 100 yard zero, I was shooting easily 640yd targets outs to 1240 at the furthest!! The glass is clear and easy to read redicle! Most of all, the price is incredible! Needless to say I'll definitely be purchasing another one very soon!! I'll be a vortex customer forever!! Thanks Vortex!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding This is my second Vortex scope. Almost fell over when I saw the price given all the features. This is a well built, quality optic, inside and out. Beautifully etched reticle, smooth focus and positive stops on the turrets. Included sun shade is a nice bonus. Mounted the scope with Vortex rings onto my Savage 111 7mm Rem Mag. Scope performance at the range was just as expected- flawless. At this price point ($399 for mine) Vortex is going to take up a lot of business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NRL22 approved Bought this scope and placed it on my custom Ruger 10/22. I wanted a scope that had plenty of power but have the ffp features to have a simple dope card to use in NRL22 matches. This scope gives me everything I want plus a crystal clear glass for a price that can't be beat. I highly recommend this to any that shoots prs style matches
