The Diamondback Tactical is a long-range wolf in sheep's clothing. Rather than cramming features in at the expense of turret performance and optical quality, the Diamondback Tactical dials it back, putting the focus where it counts. Exposed turrets bring tracking performance previously unheard of at this price point, while its optical system delivers sharp image quality even at extended range. Its relatively simple design places you firmly in the driver's seat with the potential to take on that 1,000 yard mark and beyond, all at a price that's easy to justify for new shooters, your training rifle, as well as experienced shooters looking for a back-to-basics optic on their fun gun. Opt for one of the first focal plane models on a sweet shooting rifle and you've got yourself a perfectly capable competition rig without breaking the bank.

XD™ Lens Elements Extra-low dispersion (XD) glass increases resolution and color fidelity, resulting in crisp, sharp images.
Fully Multi-Coated Proprietary coatings increase light transmission with multiple anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces.
First Focal Plane Reticle Scale of reticle remains in proportion to the zoomed image. Constant subtensions allow accurate holdover and ranging at all magnifications.
Glass-Etched Reticle Allows for intricate reticle design. Protected between two layers of glass for optimum durability and reliability.

Tube Size 30 mm diameter provides maximized internal adjustment and strength.
Aircraft-Grade Aluminum Constructed from a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum for strength and rigidity.
Waterproof O-ring seals prevent moisture, dust and debris from penetrating for reliable performance in all environments.
Fogproof Nitrogen gas purging prevents internal fogging over a wide range of temperatures.
Shockproof Rugged construction withstands recoil and impact.
Hard Anodized Finish Highly durable hard-coat anodization provides a low-glare matte surface and helps camouflage the shooter's position.

Precision-Force Spring System Uses premium components in the erector-spring system to ensure maximum repeatability and ease of adjustment.
Precision-Glide Erector System This system ensures the components in the zoom lens mechanism glide smoothly and cleanly through all magnification ranges.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome scope! I bought this scope a few months back. I use it for just about anything that will stand there long enough and if not I’ll shoot it running(coyotes) lol. I haven’t painted it yet because I’m not sure if it will void the warranty and ain’t had time. I have it mounted on a Ruger Precision.308 using Vortex High Rings. I was able to take a coyote at around 450 yards and been shooting gophers and jackrabbits for farmers. Only thing I don’t like about it as it doesn’t have a zero stop... but that’s it. I will be purchasing another one soon to go on a 22-250. My buddy even bought one for his Socom after he seen mine. I think he purchased a Opmod too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from first inexpensive FFP I feel like the price is undervalued for such a great scope! The glass is very good and clear, no blur around the edges and crisp reticle. reticle is thin enough that at full power (x24) it doesn't obscure targets, but thick enough at x6 power it is still clear and distinguishable. turrets are positive and accurate enough to dial in for a fast and precise adjustment. The side mounted parallax adjustment is standard and has a good spectrum for any range. Now that it includes a sunshade it is an even better deal. weight is a little high, but not to a fault. being on a 30mm tube and a 50mm bell, field of view is far better at range than earlier models. great buy and even better quality, Vortex will continue to have my business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bang for the buck! Purchased this scope for my Ruger precision rimfire as I wanted something under $400 that still has decent glass and features, and so far I've been very impressed with this optic. I wasn't worried about the lack of zero stop due to being zeroed at 100 yards and frequently needing to dial down for targets closer than that. Glass quality is superb, as good or better than other optics I have in the same price range, and build quality seems to be great so far. Tracks well with the .22lr, clear at all parallax ranges, no complaints from me. I would consider another for my centerfire rifles if someone figures out a way to make a zero stop shim system.
