Not sure what's going on here....
I recently received these rings FREE (due to making a qualified Vortex scope purchase) as part of a promo through Midway USA. I am following the instructions to the letter and I have plenty of experience mounting scopes, rings, etc. Three times after leveling/plumbing my scope it has "twisted" off plumb when tightening ring cap screws (in proper sequence) to
recommended torque. Appearance and Value are excellent, but the other categories have to remain in the "fair" category until I figure out what's going on.

Not impressed
I bought these rings to go with my new Diamondback 50mm after reading all the good reviews. After the fifth shot, the scope had slid forward an inch scratching my brand new scope badly. I went by the vortex scope mounting procedure and that was the result. By the looks of the scratches, there were sharp edges and not much surface contact with these rings. I went the next day and bought a set of Leupold rings and my groups instantly went from 1.5” to .625”. I will not buy Vortex rings again.

Great Rings for $$
Used the Low rings to mount a 3-9x40 Viper on a Ruger American Predator 308. Fantastic set up. Holds tight. Plenty of clearance. These rings perform. When mounting, just anticipate the scope rolling as you tighten them up. It did take me a couple of tries, but got the scope level. I torqued the mounts, and rings, several times. No problems. Great rings for the money! Pick some up!
