Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Binos at the price point These are fantastic binos with super clear glass. There is no edge distortion and the colors really pop. I just go back from a military expedition to a desert and had brought these along. Far superior to anything other glass on that particular battlefield! Used to bracket in artillery and survived in one of the harshest environments on the planet! I am an avid PRS shooter and also use them to spot impacts. Eye relief is good, but I would strongly advise that you pair these with a good tripod to effectively spot impacts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect choice Thought hard about getting the UHD's or the Vipers... I got the Vipers and could not be any happier. My Buddy has the 12x50 UHDs and comparing them side by side I can honestly say the extra cost of the UHDs is not worth it to me. Don't get me wrong, the UHDs are better, but just not such an increase in output that the extra cost is worth it... I love the 12x50s... field of view is reduced, but the distance gained while on a tripod is well worth it... Spotter is usually not taken with due to the 12x50s being so solid... IMO, the Viper 12x50 is the perfect cost to output needed for hunting the backcountry as well as the flats for Speedgoats... Be Blessed!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bang-for-your-Buck If you are trying to decide between some Swaro's or Vortex.. go with Vortex. Unless you are literally swimming in cash, just buy the viper HDs. The extra 1500 bucks for Swarovski gets you about a .0001% increase in quality. Swaro fans will brag about field flattening lenses, wide FOV, no pincushion effect, color rendition etc. Vortex does all of these things incredible well. I guarantee you take the average hunter, put him behind vortex HDs and then behind a pair of swaro SLCs and they will have a very hard time seeing the difference. As far as the brightness, I would argue that vortex does a slightly better job (although very minimal). Moral of the story, don't waste your time on swaros unless you have an extra 1500 burning a hole in your pocket and you've bought everything else you've ever wanted in life.
